New Rossi Limited Edition
You’ve seen Valentino Rossi wearing it at his home race, the Misano round of MotoGP in 2014. As always, he and Aldo Drudi work tirelessly on designing a one of a kind graphic for Rossi’s home crowd fans. Valentino and Drudi have been teaming up on his helmet graphics for years and some of the same designer touches carry over into the Misano, as expected.
Pictures have been floating around the internet for quite some time, it has finally been released that you can have a chance at owning the AGV Corsa Misano 2014 too. Like most of the Rossi graphics, this is a limited edition and there won’t be a ton of them available. Officially released in the European market, it is expected to be available here in the US in the next coming months. Take a look at the new helmet graphic and if you want the newest AGV Rossi helmet, make sure you put in your pre-order today.
On the chin guard of the helmet are the words, “Misano, ci da una mano” which means Misano gives us a hand. Combined with the yellow number 46, AGV logo, 58 as a dedication to Marco Simoncelli and fingerprint from Drudi, these are some of the standard symbols you see on his helmets. The notable features of the graphic are the hand prints are from his Team Movistar Yamaha MotoGP mechanics; the paw prints of his two dogs, Cesare and Cecilia and his cat, Rossano; as well as the lip stick kisses from his mother Stefania and girlfriend Linda.
After achieving a podium finish at Misano, Rossi stated regarding the helmet design, “Different hands touch my bike every day, hands that work with me, the hands of engineers or of Galbusera; but there are also other hands like those of my mother and my girlfriend, and these spur me on just as much”. In addition to this being a home race, Rossi reached a milestone of 5,000 Grand Prix points and his 107th victory of his career. As you can see, this design was a very personal one for Valentino and possibly helped give him the confidence to do as well as he did that day at Misano.
Always a crowd favorite and an incredible rider, we hope to see Rossi involved in the sport for many years to come. Whether it be a rider, team owner, etc., it doesn’t matter what his role is as I have a feeling he will be around for many years to come. Valentino has made an incredible impact on the sport and has touched the heart and sole of motorcycle racing forever.
