Part of the reason we recommend this back protector for touring is its extremely light weight, at 500g or 1.1lbs. The New Kompakt design is much slimmer and allows more flexibility and comfort, you forget that your wearing a back protector. Keeping on the comfort factor, this back protector uses Knox’s legendary strap system to ensure a tight and proper fit. This allows almost any user to wear this back protector with no issues, the dual waist straps allows you to keep the back protector tight under all riding conditions. There is also extension waist belts available if you need additional room that the normal straps can’t obtain. Like most of Knox’s back protectors they are using a technically advanced spacer fabric for breath-ability and antibacterial treatment on the waist area. The spacer fabric keeps this back protector off of your back and allows air to travel up and down your bike to keep you cooler and to help with sweat build up.
The Knox Kompakt Back Protector is available in 3 different sizes, a Small, Large and a New Children’s size. Please see the Knox Size Chart for your size. The Kompakt also come with a carrying case which allows the back protector to be folded up and carried when not on the motorcycle.
